Kalonzo Musyoka has said he will support Raila Odinga for a second presidential bid if he is picked as Cord's flag bearer.
“Even when my prayer is that brother Raila and [Moses] Wetang'ula will see it fit to support me, I want to assure you here that I will support Raila," the Wiper leader said on Sunday.
Kalonzo, who recently launched his own campaign website, said he was not ditching Cord.
He described Raila as "a man of such a big heart" having persevered two "stolen" elections.
"This kind of tolerance is what we want to Jubilee government to emulate," Kalonzo said.
The Cord co-principal was speaking at Senator Johnstone Muthama's homecoming peace rally.
Kalonzo criticised DP William Ruto over remarks targeted at him, and said Ruto needed prayers more than Cord leaders.
Kalonzo said he will not shy off from engaging in demos as it was the only way to "liberate" the country "from the shackles of bad governance".
