Longhorn barred

A high court judge Wednesday extended orders barring Longhorn publishers from printing and circulating two text books until January next year.

Oxford University press East Africa is accusing Longhorn publishers Kenya Limited of infringing on 50 percent of its content of "Kamusi Ya Kiswahili Sanifu "and "Kamusi ya Shule za Msingi."

Oxford publishing firm is accusing Longhorn publishers of copying and imitation without consent or acknowledgment to the plaintiff.

But Longhorn lawyer argued that Oxford has no legal capacity to sue as it was neither the author nor own patent rights for the two books.
